4th of July Festivities ~ Fort Collins

The City of Fort Collins and presenting sponsor Blue Ocean Foundation have announced the lineup of activities for the 2018 4th of July Community Celebration. Independence Day in Fort Collins will include a morning parade, evening musical performances at City Park, and the traditional fireworks display over Sheldon Lake at City Park.
4th of July Parade presented by Blue Ocean Foundation
The Fort Collins 2018 4th of July celebration begins with a traditional Independence Day parade at 10:00 a.m. The parade will travel west on Mountain Avenue, beginning at Meldrum Street and ending at Jackson Avenue. Please note that there will be street closures in the area of the parade and parking may be limited in some areas.
Live Music and Fireworks presented by Blue Ocean Foundation
In the evening, the celebration continues at City Park with live music and fireworks. Local bands will perform from 4:15 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Colorado Swing Band will perform from 4:15-5:15 p.m. followed by Guerrilla Fanfare Brass Band from 5:45-7 p.m. The Fort Collins Symphony, led by Maestro Wes Kenney, will play from 8:15 p.m. until the fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:35 p.m. Independence Day concludes with the traditional fireworks display over Sheldon Lake in City Park. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:35 p.m., depending on wind and weather conditions.

Greeley Independence Stampede ~ Greeley

The Greeley Stampede is Colorado’s premier western summer celebration; a Top-25 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo; and a recent inductee into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Furthermore, the backbone of the Greeley Stampede is the rodeo, but it is the concerts that have brought big-name entertainers and big crowds to Greeley.
The Stampede’s demolition derby is the largest in Colorado. This annual sell-out, offering non-stop crashes and crunches. It also features a full-size RV division that is the event grand finale and a definite crowd favorite.
The Greeley Stampede also includes children’s activities, a carnival, fireworks, and much more.
The Greeley Stampede 4th of July parade is a traditional event that brings families back year after year. The parade showcases over 130 entries and attracts tens of thousands of eager spectators. Floats, bands and equestrian entries from all over Colorado and many surrounding states come together to celebrate our Nation’s Independence and Colorado’s Western heritage. The parade runs north along historic 10th Avenue starting amidst the beautiful University of Northern Colorado campus at 19th Street and ending on 5th Street beyond historic Lincoln Park. The fun kicks off at 9 a.m. sharp on July 4th. The parade is led by this year’s Grand Marshals. We look forward to seeing you along the route.
100th Annual Weld County Fair ~ Greeley

The Weld County Fair celebrates the agricultural heritage of Weld County. In 2018, we proudly celebrate the Centennial anniversary marking 100 years of a family-friendly event.
Our fair is open to the public and boasts a variety of displays and contests. The fair also provides the youth and adults of Weld County an opportunity to exhibit their skills. These areas include agriculture, livestock, natural resources, engineering, consumer and family, fine arts, horticulture, and family living.
The Weld County Fair Board is looking for community members who are interested in helping with our special celebration. We are looking for resident Weld County Fair “historians.” Let us know if you would like to share stories, pictures, and old memorabilia for a special temporary display during the fair.
40th Annual Arts Picnic ~ Greeley

Every year on the last weekend in July, Arts Picnic draws thousands to historic Lincoln Park. Festival attendees shop from over 150 artists’ booths selling everything from pottery and paintings, soap to sculptures and gourmet food to garden art!
Looking for a beautiful bracelet, perfect piece of pottery, or wonderful watercolor? Grab your hat, sunscreen, and shopping bag and head to the Arts Picnic where you’ll find high-quality one-of-a-kind handmade arts and crafts. Folks can take a break in the beer garden or enjoy the mouth-watering cuisine. Enjoy food from around the world including French, Greek, Mexican, Middle Eastern and Italian, plus good old American BBQ in the food court. Creation Station’s kids’ hands-on area keeps the little ones busy with projects that encourage creativity and excite the imagination.
In addition to entertainers roving through the park all weekend, the two stages will feature 20 of the best Colorado entertainers. Hear everything from Celtic rock to country swing and rhythm and blues to rock ‘n roll. The Arts Picnic is truly a feast of fun for everyone!

The Fourth of July Four-Legged Fun Run, a dog-friendly race around Windsor Lake, will begin at 8 a.m. with registration starting at 7 a.m. The $20 entry fee includes an exclusive race T-shirt; pre-register by 8 a.m. July 3 for a $5 discount. Fireworks will launch at approximately 9:10 p.m. Attendees are invited to bring picnic baskets, lawn chairs and blankets for convenience and comfort.

4th of July Celebration ~ Estes Park

On Wednesday, July 4th, 2018 spend the afternoon enjoying hiking, bike riding, paddle boating, miniature golf or check out the Coolest Car Show. More than 100 vehicles, from “Steam -to-Electric” will be displayed at the Estes Park Events Complex, located at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park. Along with steam and electric cars, other street rods, stock cars, muscle cars, sports cars, vintage and classic cars will be on display.
At 7 p.m., the Estes Village Band tunes up for its annual patriotic concert featuring the works of John Philip Sousa and others. The concert is free to attend and will be held at the Performance Park Amphitheater, at the west end of downtown.
The Big Bang Concert is everything you are looking for in one location! A view of the fireworks along with music, food, local craft beer and wine at the Estes Park Fairgrounds in the Grandstands.
The Fireworks Show starts at 9:30pm over Lake Estes! You won’t want to miss one of Colorado’s most glorious fireworks displays! Find a grassy spot at Stanley Park, along the Lake Estes Trail or on your favorite mountainside to join in this annual tradition of national pride.
