Who is Shirley Watson?
Shirley and her family left their southern roots in Louisiana and moved to Fort Collins in 1977. The move provided to be a great decision on the part of the Watson Family. Good schools, a strong sense of community and a beautiful setting combined to provide one of the highest and most unique qualities of life available anywhere in the world. Although both children are grown, they visit Fort Collins frequently as family remains a priority in the Watson household. When spare time permits, Shirley and her husband Chester enjoy fly-fishing, skiing and traveling.
A Sense of Community
Shirley has never taken the sense of community in Northern Colorado for granted. She has been an active supporter and participant in numerous business organizations and charities. Shirley has served as a member of the Board of Directors for two local banks and has also served as one of five commissioners to the Colorado State Land Board for eight years, a position appointed by former Colorado Governor Bill Owens.
